Here at Notion, we think it’s pretty powerful when technology makes our homes more capable of taking care of themselves. We've launched a new partnership with HomeAdvisor that makes it easier for your home to protect itself against water damages.
HomeAdvisor is a marketplace that connects homeowners to prescreened professionals for home projects — like maintenance, repairs and home improvement. (Like us, they’re based in Colorado too, which we think is pretty cool!)
This partnership marks the first time that we’ve partnered with a service provider to add more smarts to Notion and make the information we provide even more valuable and actionable for homeowners like you. The integration, called Plumber Matching, enables homeowners to contact a local and available plumber when Notion detects a water leak so you can take immediate action right from the Notion app, before significant damage occurs.
Here’s how Plumber Matching works:
- When Notion detects a water leak, you’ll receive a notification with an option to connect instantly with a licensed plumber.
- After you fill out your contact information, HomeAdvisor will match you with a plumber in 60 seconds or less who’s available for a same-day visit.
- Voila! Once matched, the plumber will call you directly to schedule service.
We’re thrilled to partner with HomeAdvisor to solve real problems for homeowners and amplify what you can do to make your home as safe as possible.
HomeAdvisor offers a ton of services for homeowners, so you might be wondering, why did we start with water leaks and Plumber Matching?
Because water is the biggest threat to a home. According to the Insurance Information Institute, about one in 50 insured homes has a property damage claim caused by water or freezing each year. Each claim results in an average of $8,000 in damages, not to mention the stress on your family.
Plumber Matching only scratches the surface of what’s possible, and we’re excited to expand our partnership with HomeAdvisor in the future to deliver a more fully automated home and stress-free life for homeowners across the country. We’re also introducing multi-user support!
Today we’re also launching a multi-user feature that enables Notion users to share access to their Notion system with other people they trust, like family members or neighbors. Additional managers will be able to monitor a home’s activity and set individual alert preferences. No more sharing logins.
