A Year in Review: Notion enhances products/services and continues to expand partnerships with leading insurance and service providers

2019 was a busy year for the Notion team and we’re gearing up for an even bigger 2020!

Today, more than ever, we’re committed to helping reduce the risk and complexity of property ownership. We do this in a few ways: by constantly improving our products and services, by educating our customers on how they can help protect their homes and properties, and by partnering with leading insurers and service partners to expand value.

Product Enhancements

Everything that has grown in function since 2016 – including major battery life improvements, drastic range increases, lower event latency, a better app experience, and much more — has been because our users pushed us to get better. With the release of the Gen 3 Notion Sensor and Bridge, users no longer need multiple bridges for a steady connection to sensors placed on different levels of the home. Plus, the new design features a new type of battery so users won’t need to change it as frequently.

But, we didn’t stop there. We knew that protection and security for many users were more than DIY monitoring and we wanted to provide extended peace of mind for our customers. We sought out to provide an easy-to-use, flexible professional monitoring service. With NotionPRO, a homeowner has the power to customize their security system to fit their needs (including water leaks which happen more frequently). Plus, with escalated text messages and phone calls, a critical alert will never be missed.

Expanding Partnerships with Leading Insurance and Service Providers

At Notion, we value our partnerships. This past year we have grown our network of like-minded partners who are striving to help provide more value to customers, expand new homeowner education, reduce property risk, and provide incentives for preventative technology and services.

With that said, we’re excited to announce our most recent partnerships with Nationwide, and Brotherhood Mutual!

Nationwide

As one of the largest and strongest diversified insurance and financial services organizations in the United States, Nationwide provides a full range of insurance and financial services products including auto, business, homeowners, and more.

As the selected IoT partner, Notion partnered with Nationwide to launch a new smart home program to help alert customers about any problems in their home, like a leaky or frozen pipe, before they become a nightmare.

Nationwide customers that opt into the program can purchase the Notion smart home kit at a discounted rate and save on their homeowners insurance policy.

Brotherhood Mutual

With more than 100 years in business, Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company is one of the nation's leading property and casualty insurers of Christian ministries.

Through our new partnership, Brotherhood Mutual will provide its customers with access to a discounted Notion Smart Property System and three complimentary months of NotionPRO, 24/7 professional monitoring.

This will help Brotherhood Mutual customers better prevent incidents that are likely to happen when a church is unoccupied, such as water leaks from kitchens, mechanical areas, boiler rooms, and other less trafficked areas of ministry buildings.

We’re excited to partner with such great companies and also want to thank Travelers, Hippo, American Modern, Penn National Insurance, and Liberty Mutual Insurance for our continued partnership.
